PRE-EVOLUTION USER MANUAL

The Pre-Evolution is a high capacity pre-filtration unit designed to go before the

Evolution-RO1000 to ensure that your Evolution-RO1000 runs more efficiently,

has longer membrane life and cuts down on maintenance. The combination of

KDF85 and KDF55 media along with catalytic carbon in the Pre-Evolution's carbon

filter reduces chloramines, chlorine, iron, sulfur, and heavy metals. The Pre-

Evolution's sediment filter is pleated and can be cleaned periodically with a

garden hose or your faucet. The Pre-Evolution is highly recommended when

producing more than 150 gallon of purified Reverse Osmosis water per week.

Installation:

The Evolution-RO1000 includes a length of 1/2" tubing and a garden hose adapter

that you should hook up to your source (tap) water. The 1/2" tubing then installs

to the "inlet" side of the Pre-Evolution. The short length of 1/2" tubing included

with the Pre-Evolution installs between the "outlet" side of the Pre-Evolution and

the white inlet elbow of the Evolution-RO1000. Turn the source (tap) water on

slowly at first until water starts running out the Evolution-RO1000 and then it is

safe to open up the source water all the way. NOTE: if you are running a booster

pump, the pump needs to be installed between the Pre-Evolution and the

Evolution-RO1000.
